Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information glennstover.com and the Glenn Stover project portal (together, the “Services”) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English on purpose.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you use the website or the project portal:
- Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Project data: information about your project, such as project and property details, draw requests, work status, inspection results, issues, payment status, and insurance documents or expiration dates.
- Messages and forms: anything you send us through a contact form or by email.
- Text-alert preferences: your mobile number and a record of your opt-in or opt-out (see Section 4).
Our hosting systems may also automatically log basic technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the Services running and secure.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the project portal and manage projects, draws, inspections, and payments.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To send project alerts by email or, if you opted in, by text message.
- To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To meet legal and recordkeeping obligations.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share information only with service providers who help us deliver the Services, such as website and data hosting providers and messaging providers and wireless carriers that deliver text messages. They may use your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
Project data may be visible to the other participants on a project in the portal (for example, the owner, contractor, and lender) as needed to carry out that project.
4. Text message alerts
If you opt in, we send project alerts by text message through the Glenn Stover Project Alerts program, such as when a draw is ready, work is completed, an inspection fails, an issue is opened, a payment is on hold, or insurance is about to expire. Opting in is optional and is not required to use the Services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Full details are in our SMS Terms.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to maintain project records and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. If you opt out of text alerts, we keep a record of your opt-out so we honor it.
7. Your rights and choices
- You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- You may opt out of text alerts at any time by replying STOP, or by emailing us.
- You may ask us to stop sending non-essential emails.
To make a request, email glenn@glennstover.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and some project records may need to be kept by law.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
